❜ i see you’ve returned. ❜ claire said, her voice soft as she sat in the cafe’s chair, her lips curved into a smile despite her eyes looking dark. she hadn’t seen thor since he left after ultron and with everything that happened, she wasn’t sure what her feelings were on seeing him. ❜ with an entourage including … loki. ❜ banner was also back but her feelings weren’t as caustic with him, she just wondered which side he would take - if any.
she leaned back, arms crossing as she kept the smile bright on her face. ❜ where’s your eye? that’s a little ❜ she motioned with her hand towards his face, her nose wrinkling up ever so slightly. ❜ awkward. i don’t know, it’s just because i need both my eyes to - y’know but anyway, where is your second eye? and where have you been? ❜
she wanted to say something, explain that the team had been broken, a war had been fought and those they counted as friends were on opposite sides her included. but instead, she kept her mouth quiet. she refused to say anything unless he asked and if he did, she’d explain as simply as she could.
❜ we missed you here. midgard loves it’s superheros. ❜ well most of them. and well, it at least used to. she hadn’t been interacting with many people since she left Wakanda, going into hiding and shutting her ears to all conversations about superheros or the avengers team that broke apart at the seams.
