Chara: Jacques DuQuesne, aka the Swordsman, taught Claire everything she needed to know on how to thrown knives and turn things into a weapon     that’s because that was all he knew what to do; turn things into weapons. Claire, originally, looked up to him like he was a second father for her, someone who would be better than Harold, but in the end, that wasn’t what he was. With similar drinking habits, he was a slave driver with her training, making sure that she knew that to be the best, she would have to sacrifice everything. When he won her training with Buck Chisholm, he lied to her saying that it was for her own good that she was going to start taking lessons with him when instead he was thinking of the ways that he could profit from her new skills. Eventually their relationship soured, Claire ran off and became a SHIELD agent and they were now on opposite ends of the law. Not that it mattered. Claire still can’t find it in her to kill him and often finds herself letting him go while he often sends her small messages warning her when she’s in danger.
