2017 is about to end and I just wanted to share the things I’ve learned,  and things I recommend to the rest of my followers  !!

Don’t be too quick to judge people.  I learned this through harsh experience this year both irl and on tumblr.  Be very careful with people you establish friendships with because sometimes a person who you think seems cold and dismissive,  can simply be a shy cinnamon roll wanting to be discovered,  while the person you think to be the nicest can turn out to be the most toxic person in your life.  Try to be more  perceptive  of people’s actions in 2018,  don’t put too much emphasis on words.  Go slow.  Be friends with people who will be there for you without expecting anything in return.  Shield yourself.  Stay strong and remember that you are your own friend,  too.  In the end,  whatever happens to you happens to you.  Don’t disregard your gut feelings  !

Your time is shorter than you think.  It took me a long while to realize this and I hope all of you already have or will have realized this next year,  but everything changes.  We are all particles,  energy waves that are constantly changing.  You are here and you are writing,  please try to have the best experience you can because things will change.  You will never be the person you were this year in the next.  Try to learn from your mistakes and let others grow with you.  Every moment is precious and impossible to be duplicated.  It’s so hard not to live like we have forever,  but we don’t have forever  !!

This is your blog.  You don’t have to be apologetic for expressing yourself when you’re having a bad day.  As long as you aren’t damaging or hurting anyone with your actions,  this is your creative space.  You may write a canon character and guess what  ?  It doesn’t matter if others are too.  Such thing causes stress and veils your mind from unleashing your true potential.  It inhibits creativity,  so have a bit of faith in those who invest their time in you.  Do what’s necessary to make your dash comfortable for you.  Listen,  you’ll be fine.  There will be peeps who will stick by you.  As for OC’s,  we’ve seen all the mean commentary thrown your way this year,  but guess what  ?  You are reading this,  you are  HERE  despite people’s unfair treatment because you like what you created.  You’ve made it and you are strong as hell because you care about your creation.  You’ve made it,  and trust me,  you can do it again.

Don’t feel apologetic for doing what’s right for you.  If you need to do something on your blog,  you do it friend.  You want to be mutually exclusives with people  ?  Do it.  You want to be a private blog  ?  You do that.  You want to be mutuals only  ?  Do it.  And if you don’t wanna do these things,  then you  DON’T.  If you aren’t writing as much as you want,  that’s fine,  keep trying but that is not a  FAULT.  This is a hobby.  You have nothing to say sorry for for making your experience the best for you.  If someone doesn’t like it,  they can leave.  And if they aren’t leaving and they’re giving you crap,  you tell them or you make them leave and block them if it comes to it.  Reflecting back on what I said earlier,  your time is short.  There’s no time for the negative,  you stick to what makes you happy.

You don’t have to fit in.  You don’t have to have a fancy theme.  You don’t have to have fancy icons,  or format your text a certain way to be  somebody.  If you do it and you like it,  keep doing it.  The absence of this shouldn’t affect the content of your writing.  Give people you want to give a chance the chance they deserve because you are interested in writing with them.  Don’t let what they have or don’t have on the outside affect your decisions.  You don’t have to be a certain way.  You don’t have to act a certain way to be happy.  You don’t have to fit it in with people’s expectations.  The only way you will be a free human being irl and even on here on a level is to break through these boundaries.  You act the way you want because it makes you happy.

Kindness pays off,  even when you don’t believe in it.  Ever since I joined I’ve been trying my best to spread positivity around.  Some of my endeavor was to lift my own chin up,  and realizing that it helped others too made me do it more. There have been numerous times I lost faith in the words that were coming out of my mouth.  I went to dark places,  who didn’t go to dark places this year anyway  ?  It feels like we all did.  But whatever you project to the world  TRULY  does come back to find you one way or another,  even if it isn’t the way you expected it to be.  Even if you don’t believe this notion,  just try it because you won’t lose anything  !  You become your thoughts.  If you see someone sad on your dash this year,  talk to them,  lift them up because it’s the  RIGHT  thing to do.

Some bad things might remain with us next year,  but…
