❜ I never wanted to be a ❜ SPY? ASSASSIN? SHIELD AGENT? Which word was the one she was searching for? Claire didn’t know. ❜ I always wanted to be a figure skater or an astrologist, or actually a figure skater who was also an astrologer. ❜ She laughed at the innocence she once held. It had been years since she thought back to her younger years, the sadness she felt whenever she did followed far too closely on certain days and while she felt that sadness, she was for the most part able to just push it to longing. ❜ While I learned the most I could about both, I’ve found a great ❜ she couldn’t say LIFE, wouldn’t say FUTURE, there wasn’t a word that she could put in at the end of that sentence that would make sense.
❜ I’ve made it to a pretty good place. ❜ She said after a second, the pause slightly uncomfortable for her. She never talked much about how weird she found herself on the side of good while most knew that she had a seedier background than spoke about, they never knew much about her time as an assassin for those on the wrong side of the law. She refused to talk about it. There was actually a lot she refused to talk about. ❜ Though I will say, I miss some of the freedom I had back then. Being able to go where I wanted without having to alert anyone, taking whatever jobs came my way without having to clear it with someone. ❜ She might never go back to that life, but that didn’t mean she never felt a desire to return.
